My right achilles was on fire during the run.  Why can't we feel pain free and full of energy during the week leading up to the marathon?

I don't know the answer to your question. Regardless, I'm wishing you a pain free and full of energy start on Saturday when it really counts!

Thanks for the encouraging posts on my blog. An unintended positive consequence of not getting in to St. George has been having you one week ahead in training and race prep.

I know just what you mean Andy about the pre-marathon funkiness. Strangely enough this year when I'm doing the pacing thing and not racing I feel pretty much pain free and full of energy. Weird how that works.

Your right, my left, we cancel each other out.

I don't know the answer either! Let's hope you'll get that pain-free-energy-full-feeling when you toe the line on Sat. :)

I notice in your pic. you're holding a *prize* and I'm not talking about the one in your right hand! :) :) :) :)

Smooth - You are too funny.

The question was rhetorical. I know that I'm right where I need to be because I'm a little neurotic and feeling unprepared.

I noticed the good looking picture as well. :)
