Intended to maintain an easy pace the entire run. Just before the start of last mile another runner passed me. I hate being passed. Tried to convince myself to let him go but couldn't. Kept pace with him then started to make up ground towards the end. Averaged 8:00 min/mile the first 4 and 6:40 the last. Actually felt better running that mile than I did the previous 4.

Andy, good luck in the morning. I hope we have some cloud cover for the marathoners. I am just doing the 10K. I heard at the expo that they have changed the marathon course to not go back up Sunnyside, hopefully this helps the tired legs a bit. Thanks for your comments.
