I'm logging half of my miles for today as ice skating miles. I don't think that I've ever run in conditions that were more icy than they were today. My pace was very slow because I was focusing on not falling. There were a few times that I almost went down but was able to catch myself. I made it to 8.98 miles of my 9 mile run before I finally fell. I sure hope that nobody saw me. I'm sure it wasn't a thing of style or grace. Got back up and ran the last 0.02 to finish off the run.

ouch! Don't hurt yourself on all that glazing.

So close to finishing without the wipeout. Glad you didn't get hurt. Looks like 7.45 miles to go until the big 3000. I'm excited for you. I have never totalled all my miles for a year before and was curious what I ran this year. Looks like I'll finish the year around 1,800 miles (mostly on 4 runs a week) and I bet this was my highest milage year ever. You are a beast to go 3000.

My car slid down my driveway sideways on my way to the gym. I almost took out the mail box. (I'm such an indoor loving wimp.) Glad you didn't get hurt.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who biffed it this morning. My running partner witnessed it and she said it was fairly graceful!!! I think she was just saying that to be nice and soothe my ego!

The ice is a killer that's for sure. Stay safe! ;-)

I was so there with you Andy! I slipped twice this morning ... didn't go all the way down hallelujah ... but it wasn't good for my injury, that's for sure. My pace was very slow as well ... every now and then I'd get a good stretch of about 100 meters car free on Redwood Road that I tried to book it on ... but that was it. Luckily I didn't get hit!

What's up with all these 9 milers btw? Holy smoke ... just noticed ... so, are you going to run 7.5 tomorrow?? How cool is that? AWESOME!!
