I only have a little leg fatigue so I think I am fully recored from the weekend.  There is some tenderness in the knee but it is definitely not a concern anymore.  Kept the pace below 7:30/mile and it felt good.  My weight is becoming a joke and I'm not sure the best way to tackle it.  I suppose eliminating soda would be a good first step but I am too weak.

How much are you weighing in at? Today I am at 193.3. I switched to diet Mtn. Dew, but now I eat more.

I weighed in at 190 this morning. It was shocking. I'm not sure diet soda is much better than regular soda. My food and drink intake has been crazy the past couple of days so I am hoping this is just a blip.

Don't change to diet, I have a aversion to artificial sweeteners. Just go with water I know it is boring but it works the best!

I know water is the best thing and I feel the best when I only drink water. It is just a matter of breaking the habit and overcoming the addiction.

It is way hard to get off the soda. I can't do it, either. I need the caffeine to help me stay awake since I don't get much sleep.

Andy/Dale, I feel your pain. I'm right there with you.

Great news about your knee! :)

I have a solution for your weight/soda drinking issues.

Okay ... hear me out. So, a couple of weeks ago I got special permission to bring Ry to the cadaver lab with me to help turn the bodies so that I could study them. Anyway, he didn't handle it very well. BUT ... it did stay long enough to see a few of the bodies (which all had the abdominal cavity already dissected). Anyway ... the skin is kept intact on the sides so that we can recover the open cavity and keep things moist. Okay, I'm getting to the point now: In short ... Ry was able to see the HUGE difference between what a healthy, slim body REALLY looks like, compared to one with a lot of fat/adipose tissue. I saw him look down at his body and then ask me, "Is that really what it looks like when you have excessive weight?" (This was right before he almost passed out.)

RESULTS: He immediately put himself on an exercise regimen and cut out soda!

True story!!!!

Hmmm ... do you have access to a cadaver lab???

(Seriously, if you could see what excess fat looks like ... you definitely would have the will power to cut the soda out!)

((Needless to say, Andy ... you look fine!))

Teena, can wwt take me to see the cadavers? I think that would definitely set me straight. Seriously!

Dale~

I wish I could. However, they are very strict about that kind of thing. I was able to get permission for Ryan to come because he is paying for my education. (That's one of the exceptions to the no visitors: If someone is paying for your education and they want to see what all the money is going to ... )

But I donated all that money to the east wing!

I don't have to look at a cadaver's adipose tissue! I can see mine just fine in rolls underneath my epidermis! :)

Seriously Andy you always look trim and fit to me! Glad you are fully recovered from that awesome Ragnar! :)
