A new month and time to get back into it.  October was a nice and relaxing break but I need to get serious again. One of the things that I am going to start doing (have actually done it for a couple of weeks) is to run the last couple of miles of each run a little faster than normal.  I usually just lock into a pace and stay with it for the entire run.  This has caused me to get comfortable and perhaps a little lazy.  I think it is important to get more used to a slightly faster pace.

My left foot is hurting from the trail run.  I must have bruised it on the rocks.  It was alright after a couple of miles but it is a little bothersome.

good solid run Andy. And I think that is a good idea about picking up the pace at the end of runs.

What's your next? Base building for a while?

I have no idea what is next. I need to get myself back up to 55-60 miles per week with at least one fast day before I even think about racing again.

sounds good Andy - first things first, right?

I like new beginnings too. 1st of the month, New Year's Day, etc. It can be a good jumpstart for your motivation.

Sounds like a great plan.
