I have absolutely no motivation to run right now.  I guess it is the post marathon blues.  Never felt like this before.  Kind of strange. Thought about taking the week completely off.  Even had the thought of not running anymore cross my mind.

I think it is good to take a few days off to recharge the mental batteries.

What's up next Andy?

I think my issue is that I do not know what is next. For 3 or 4 years I have been at the same level - good but not great. Do I want to get serious about training and take it to the next level or just become a recreational runner? I guess that is what this time of year is to be used for.

I hear you - that's the same place I'm at.

Lots to think about especially when you are capable of taking it to the next level and win at the Master division when you turn 40.

I don't have that *problem*. I am a recreational runner and signing up for races motivate me to keep on keepin' plus I still have soooo much to learn!

BEST to you as you take this post marathon time to sort it all out.

It's funny what the mind does when all is said and done. I'm already planning my races. Of course, my plans change on a daily basis.
