Planned an epic run around Boston while I waiting for the runners to start coming through the finish.  My first stop was going to be at Fenway Park.  After 5 miles I realized that I had somehow run in a giant circle and was right back where I started.  I am extremely directionally challenged.  Decided to just run the Freedom Trail instead (including the 294 steps to the top of the Bunker Hill monument) and bag the rest of the run.  I wanted to make sure I got a decent spot to watch the race.  Finished the run at Mike's Pastry (overrated in my opinion).

Found a spot on Hereford to watch the marathon.  Missed almost everybody that I was hoping to see but was able to see Becky (thankfully).

Sounds delightful. Congrats to Becky!

Did you get to see the elites?

Yes, I saw the winners come through. In my mind that is what I look like when I run but know that in reality it is very different.

Sounds like a wonderful day. I think one of these years I'd like to go to Boston as a spectator and see the race from that point of view.

Perception is just as good as reality! ;)
